The first weekend in December we had a Christmas party at the Cardon's house! Just like our Halloween party in October, there was plenty of sugar to go around. ;)
Lauren planned fun games for the kids to play ... Christmas Bingo and Don't Eat Pete (which did NOT go over well with the little ones. Lyla and Griffin both cried when it was their turn! haha). After games they each wrote a letter to Santa. Lyla was the wild card this year who randomly asked for a "small kitchen" and we had no idea what she meant. ;) Always keeping things interesting. Then they each got to decorate their own festive sugar cookies with extra frosting and sprinkles on top!
It was so funny seeing their different personalities shine through with how they each decorated their own cookies. Lauren's Liam ate almost his entire plate of frosting off his knife and then ate his sugar cookies plain. haha Avaree was the sprinkle lover who used half the bottle on one cookie.
Griff REALLY liked the candy!
And feeling big enough to hold a butter knife all by himself. ;)
Lyla shockingly enough let dad help her.
Ephriam was perfectly meticulous!
Her cute reindeer cookie she was so proud of ...
And Liam let his creativity fly as usual!
During cookie decorating, we took one kid at a time to send their letters to Santa in the magical mailbox. I love this tradition so much! Their faces after they send their letter and find it gone are some of the most magical memories that I know I'll never forget!
It made me smile and so proud of Liam to see him write his whole letter by himself this year. He's getting so big! <3
We ended the night watching a How to Train Your Dragon Christmas short film and a potty accident from Lyla that required us to borrow some of Avaree's clothes because I was the mom who didn't come prepared. Always a party!
