two favorites as of late

It has officially been over a month now since I have bitten my nails and this time, I've had no reason (a.k.a. a wedding) to quit. I've done it all on my own. Determined to kick this habit once and for all. My biggest motivation, I haven't had a single cold sore since I stopped which is a huge deal as this used to be an occurrence at least every other week with a weeks worth of healing in-between. Somehow through the stress of school over the last little while, I haven't given in and I'm counting my blessings for that because so many times I was tempted to. I have even filed them a time or two in the last month which has NEVER happened. The best part about it all is getting to paint them! Before, they were too short and stubbly that anytime I tried I would immediately remove it and think to myself, "what are you doing, trying to attract people to those hideous looking nails?! Not a good plan." I've always wanted to try a colored french tip and I love it! My first favorite thing as of late. And my second, those gorgeous heart stacked rings that Nic got me for Christmas. I'm in love with them. Especially the N+M one. ♥ 

Now I get daily reminders of him on not one hand but two.

Fell Off the Bandwagon

If any of you remember me telling you about my HABIT

you would know what I mean when I say...

I'm disappointed in myself :(

Just like I said I didn't want to do... I fell off the bandwagon after our honeymoon.

You heard me.. I'm a nail biting ADDICT!!

I want to stop... I really do... I just wish my unconscious was on the SAME PAGE.

Remember back in my post when Nic and I registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and I said the only thing we "argued" over was....

that $500 beast?!!

Yes, I am the sweetest wife in the world... we are purchasing that vacuum on Friday.

haha okay maybe I want it now too.. I just can't stand another day of this dirty germ-filled apartment from us being sick this week! But hey, I still think it is completely crazy to spend that much money on it so it better last forever!

The good news is.. Bed Bath and Beyond offers you 20% off all of the items left on your registry. The only catch is that you have to come in on a specific day. Well we are happy to say that day is finally here. It's clean time people!!

HABIT

We all know everyone has habits but mine as seriously GOT TO GO!!!

I bite my nails.

The worst part about it, I totally do it unconsciously, so trying to stop is extremely difficult.
I have done it my whole life so for me it is a total addiction.
It's so bad that when my sweet friends or family tell me to stop or pull it out of my mouth.. I get frustrated with them :/

I have quit a few times now and they have mostly been in the last year or so. I find these events that get me super motivated (the proposal, the engagement photo shoot) and then I quit :) and I love how they look. But as soon as the event is over and something stressful happens in my life... out the window it goes.

So THIS TIME.... I am quiting for good.
BUT... it does have an event attached to it.. so I'm hoping that I don't jump off the bandwagon again when the event is over.

This event is my wedding day. I want them to look beautiful. I have never been one for liking fake nails on my own hands. They look gorgeous on other people but I guess I'm too "plain jane" for them to look natural on me.

Between now and the wedding there is this dreadful week that I get SUPER stressed and will be the most tempted... FINALS. OH school... you are the source of all my bad habits HA just kidding. Tests really do stress me out though but I know with the wedding two weeks after it that I can have the motivation!

By the wedding day... they will look just like this again :) and I can't wait!!!
