The Start of Summer | Part Two

Another beautiful mixture of short and long sleeves. ;) Here we go!

Party prep for the baby shower I helped host for my sister-in-law ... Liam thought it was hysterical to cover Rue in balloons!

It's a wonder the girl dislocated her arm when she chooses to sleep like this ... HOW is that even comfortable?! Who am I to judge though because she got these sleep habits from me. haha 

The day before the baby shower it absolutely dumped down rain and all the kids wanted to do was to be outside in it. I know it sounds like the perfect opportunity to get a few things done while they were out from under foot but in reality, I was busy mopping up the river of water and grass that was drug inside every few minutes. haha

Nic took the kids to Costco during the baby shower and forgot his own sunglasses so he rocked mine!

No ear drums were perforated in the making of this moment ... so cute how proud she is that she thought of this idea in the first place!

Lyla's hair is getting so long and while it still resembles more of a mullet, I don't dare cut it in fear of losing those precious curls in the back! Nic and I pretty much have stick straight hair so she doesn't stand a chance of growing them back.

We gave Lyla the bedroom in our house that has a little walk in closet ... she's not even 2 years old yet and she already loves it. ;) Trying on allll the shoes from her cousin Olivia and hanging with her best friend flamingo!

Liam cut out his nap when he was 3 but occasionally during quiet time I'll find him like this and it is so sweet. By the way, I can't get him to leave on his pants on when he is home. Takes after his uncle Brendan!

I left Lyla for two seconds to run upstairs and she swiped one of Liam's markers off the table and colored all over the floor. My first experience with a kid doing this and I remained completely calm because the joke was on her, I only buy them washable markers. ;) She happily cleaned it up all by herself! 

So cute when she gets lost in a Disney movie!

I saw the most fun/mess free activity on Pinterest and it has been a summer staple ... painting with water on the sidewalk! It's my new favorite activity!

Like I said, SUCH a good summer!!! And that was only the beginning ...
