Last year I was 56 months pregnant when the fair came to town so we decided to skip it. haha Didn't want to deliver Lyla in the cow barn. ;) But couldn't pass up the opportunity to take both kids this year!
Lyla came for the ice cream!
Liam came for the rides!
Sita and I just came to watch the whole thing through their eyes and loved standing back and seeing them take it all in! The fair can be so much fun but I've also never felt like I've taken my children to a more germ filled place in my whole life. haha We went to the petting zoo part at the very beginning so that a film crew person from Idaho Power could take videos of the kids for a commercial they are working on so I stood back to let Lyla reach out her hand to pet the goats and she latched on to the fence WITH HER MOUTH!!! Abort! ABORT! There wasn't enough hand sanitizer/baby wipes/hand washing stations to make me feel better about that situation. haha After our experience with hand, foot, and mouth from her, I think I am officially traumatized.
"Mommy, these cars go SUPER FAST!"
I love him!
This little lady didn't mind watching Liam from the side lines one bit just as long as her free spirit got to be walking!
This was the ride where I learned that my 28 year old self can no longer handle spinning rides ... ugh! haha Liam didn't love it either.
His second time on this ride was so cute to watch because he kept giggling when he would get brave enough to put his hands in the air!
The only way my mom and I were able to get him off of the rides once the tickets ran out was to bribe him with a pony ride. ;) He picked this cute littlest brown one named "Fred" and got to say, "Giddy-up Fred!" to get the ride started!
We ended the fair with the best part ... the food! Pronto Pups and a giant blue snow cone for Liam. We missed having daddy with us (he had to make a trip to Pocatello that evening) but we had the best time with Sita at the fair! A great way to wrap up the summer!!
