If you know Ya Ya, you know she is obsessed with puppies! Thankfully almost all of her grandparents, aunts, and uncles all have one so we don't have to. ;) haha I couldn't think of a more perfect theme though for her third birthday party. A PUPPY PARTY!
Because of Covid, we only invited family but her cousins and grandparents are her favorite people in the world anyway so it turned out to be perfect. Everyone got to adopt a puppy!
Then they all chose a collar color (her favorite color, pink for the birthday girl!) and embellished it with beads and a dog tag. She named her puppy, "Woof"! The hysterical part was that she wanted to wear the collar herself when she was done making it. haha
Stringing on the beads turned out to be a tighter/trickier fit than I imagined it would be so she had Pa help her ...
They each got their own puppy carrier and decorated those too with jewel stickers!
Meet "Bat Dog" ...
I love this picture so much with her little toes hanging off the end of the couch!! She LOVED opening her presents, always exclaiming "A BOX"! She was also just so gracious and grateful about every last one of them.
Her older cousins sweetly read her cards to her ...
Then came the adorable facial expressions after she saw what was inside each gift. Sweetest birthday girl!!
I loved watching how patient she was during the card reading part and how content she looked when we'd unpackaged one of her new toys for her so she could play with what was inside.
Let's Pawty, Birthday Girl!! Wearing the cutest puppy slippers she got from her Papa and Grandma Dee ...
I clearly couldn't pick a favorite ... I mean, look at this character! I love her personality so much!
We sang "Happy Birthday" and dove straight into that chocolate cake ...
All the cousins with their puppies!
Grandma Edie and Pa got her purple sparkly nail polish for her birthday and as soon as everyone left she wanted to paint her own nails like a big girl ...
Hope you loved your puppy party, Lyla girl! Stay 3 forever!!
