Happy February! I mean, Merry Christmas?!
I figured out the best way to survive January, February, and March (winter) is to go back and re-live Christmas time through pictures. Makes winter feel a little less long.
I'll have this cozy scene imprinted in my mind forever ...
Our sweet kids tucked in beds, sleeping away, and the calm before the magical storm!
Christmas morning was just that, magical. I spent hours and hours making this dollhouse for Lyla and her reaction couldn't have been more perfect. She LOVES it!
Liam was so excited to get a hot wheels race track ...
Santa brought him hot wheel cars in the shape of all of his favorite creepy animals ... scorpions, crocodiles, etc. haha
Lyla was in that sweet spot this year of opening one thing and taking all day to play with it. Liam had his stocking and all of his presents unwrapped in about 10 minutes.
I have learned that the dollhouse may have been more appropriate for a 3-4 year old because this little whirlwind broke several of the pieces on Christmas Day but it was just because she was curious about every little thing inside.
Santa brought her the cutest little mice family who moved on in. ;)
Even Liam loved playing in the dollhouse ... I see many future play dates together where lego guys will be sleeping in those beds too!
Lyla got Liam this Iron Man mask and his face was priceless when Nic put it on him, pure joy!
Nothing makes this guy happier than headphones! haha Kidding but he really does love headphones. I can't even count how many different pairs he has tried over the years. I got him his first set of Apple ones and he uses them every single day.
A weighted blanket from the two who cause us the most stress in life! haha
We finally convinced her to step away from her dollhouse for just a minute to open her stocking and I just love this age so much because look at how excited she was to get socks!!
Santa brought her a stackable Chinese doll set of puppies which she loves but the baby one has already taken a flush down the toilet!
Nic's childhood Christmas tradition ... cinnamon rolls for breakfast ...
Later that morning Edie and my dad hosted an incredible brunch at their house! Think of every breakfast food you could possibly imagine, it was there!
Grandma's matching Christmas stockings for all of the grandkids ...
Cousins opening stockings together ...
How cute are these jammies with the bear bum! The twins were wearing a matching pair.
I love this cousin picture so much!
The cousins did secret Santa and Lyla girl got the most adorable set of Cabbage Patch Babies! It took me back about 25 years to when I got my first one. They still smell the same!
This was Liam's gift that we've had to hide for a few years after half of us in the room almost lost an eye! haha
Of course it wouldn't be Christmas without diving into the candy first thing in the morning!
I wish I would have gotten one of the two of them together but I'm dying over these tiny little trucker hats we got our nephews!!
Lucky boy getting to blow out the candles on baby Jesus' birthday cake!
We stayed until nap time and went home so well fed!
My mom and brother came over on Christmas night for dinner and to exchange gifts.
It was the best day and the Merriest Christmas! XO
