The last couple weekends have been relatively low key around here. We finally got some snow but due to both kiddos catching reoccurring colds, we decided it wasn't the best idea to spend too much time out in it. A quick picture of this little lady in her pink coat and 15 minutes for Liam to get out his energy was about it ...
I'm going to be crushed when this coat no longer fits her by the way ... but fingers crossed that is right about the time that spring decides to show up with tulips in my front yard and the promise of warmer temperatures throughout the day and then I miiiiiight just be okay with it. ;)
Other than watching the Emoji movie for the tenth time (it's hysterical! go watch it!!), making baking soda and vinegar volcanoes, and putting every last toy we own to good use, daddy introduced Lyla to his favorite hobby. haha
I have feeling if it weren't for the buttons and the fact that it looks like a giant toy, I don't think it would have been her thing. Liam on the other hand! Beeeeegs for "the racing game".
I gave both my boys haircuts (man this post is sounding riveting, haha sorry!). Believe it or not, after accidentally shaving his head bald a couple months ago, Nic's hair finally needed it again and I tried letting Liam's grow out as long as I could just to see what it would look like (this is the longest it has ever been) but the ever growing rat tail in the back and the hair covering his ears were enough for me to pull the trigger. haha I did however cut the sides shorter and leave the top long and I think it turned out pretty good and blended if I do say so myself. Maybe just don't look too closely. ;)
Liam with "meow" over one shoulder and trying to share in his obsession with stuffed animals in bed with his sister ... (don't worry, I took it back out when he wasn't looking). Super endearing though!
The only time we've really left the house (or got dressed for that matter) the last couple weekends has been for church so I couldn't miss the opportunity to document these two cuties in their Sunday best ...
He finally announced to a lady on Sunday, "This is my SISTER, ya ya!" after calling her a brother earlier in the week when someone asked. Big steps over here! :)
This weekend we are headed to Meridian and are looking forward to spending some time with my side of the family. Bring on the grandparents, uncles/aunts, cousins, and a FOUR DAY WEEKEND! XO
