Over the weekend we got to celebrate not one but TWO early birthdays! My mom and Liam share a birthday one day apart from each other in October and since we won't be in the same town this year we celebrated a little early! I believe celebrating birthdays should be a month long party anyway so it was perfect. ;)
This sweet tractor/dump truck loving boy had the time of his life being pushed up the driveway a million and one times so that he could ride back down again, each time with a bigger smile on his face! He really loves it when you are watching so he can show off these days. ;)
We spent evenings at the park, another one of Liam's favorite pass times. He is always so adventurous and wanting to climb everything in sight.
Climbing the rock wall and looking for planes in the sky ...
Like the plane they are pointing to in this picture! I think we saw at least ten cross the sky that night!
We celebrated Liam's birthday on Friday night and he got his very own kitchen from Grandmasita! He loves the phone so much that he even microwaves it! haha He also loves taking bites from the food and going "mmmm". It is adorable!
Helping daddy cut up the vegetables ... I'm hoping this will spark a love of veggies at dinner time! :) Wishful thinking?!
My mom got him a yummy ice cream cake but I think his favorite part was the candle on top! These next three pictures are so hilarious to me. In the first one he is pointing at the flame and getting so excited while we were singing to him. Then dad went and blew out the candle at the end of the song and he was not a fan of that tradition! The third picture is my favorite of all, he is signing the word "more" because he wanted us to re-light the candle. haha
He dove in for the peanut butter cups instead and all was right in the world again! ;)
While Liam is usually center stage and celebrating him dominated most of the weekend, we tried to make Saturday night special for my mom's birthday. Despite our every effort to take her out to lunch or dinner it just didn't end up happening (see previous comments about Liam taking over) but she did open presents and we sang to her over leftover ice cream cake. Earlier in the week I wrapped her gifts in chalkboard wrapping paper and let Liam decorate them, hence all of the pretty pictures all over the front!
I have an adorable video I'm working on from our weekend of two early birthdays that I wanted to post with this but I'll have to share it later this week because of technical issues so check back for that! We sure love you Sita and hope you have the best birthday ever! So glad we got to celebrate these two sweet people in our lives that we love so much!
