Kite Flying, Fireworks, Bonfire = 4th of July to Always Remember!

Bara, Nic, and I decided to start our 4th of July out with a little kite flying... which, I'd just like to say, are the greatest kites ever! Bumblebee and Little Mermaid!

Then we drove to watch the Speedway Fireworks in a nearby cemetery... played a little bocce ball and got glared at by all the old folks HA. Must have been playing on their dead relatives.

We were all dying laughing taking pictures before the fireworks! Afterwards, we came back to my house and had a bonfire and roasted s'mores! Can't wait for next 4th of July :)

Feels like I'm dreaming

You know when you are in love when reality is better than your dreams... Yet somehow, I still feel like I'm dreaming, wondering every day can this possibly be real!

June 24 was my 20 birthday and one I'll always remember! Nic and I met a year ago in September and became "facebook official" haha after only 2 weeks of knowing each other. We both had been in the same ward for my freshmen year at ISU and even though he knew who I was I had no idea who he was. Talk about feeling terrible. (It's true, the first time I talked to her, she had to ask me who I was...) but needless to say, he swept me off my feet soon enough! As the days went by during the school year we became inseparable and did many fun firsts together like going to see General Conference, an Institute Valentine's Dance, our new found obsession with One Tree Hill, and many more. At the end of the school year we had to make a very difficult decision.. whether or not to live in different towns over the summer.. and unfortunately it worked out that way. We have been spending the summer apart but counting down the days until the weekends. We have had so much fun this summer on the weekends, our first adventure being, ring shopping together :) we knew that we wanted to get married next summer and weren't planning on ring shopping until August but somehow I got roped into a jewelry store in the mall in May with a nervous bright red face haha. After ring shopping, Nic was so sweet to ask my dad's permission and then he proposed to me on my birthday!! It went something like this......

Nic was my alarm calling me to sing Happy Birthday and wake me up... he told me he had set something up with my mom and to walk out in the living room... this is what I found

I found this poster card that basically told me to look outside to find a present that I have always dreamed of having so I basically ran to the door with a grin that looked like a little girl on Christmas morning :)

I had NO IDEA he was surprising me and came in town from Pocatello for a 4 day birthday weekend... can you say BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!!



He gave me fun notes all day of fun things we planned to do together over the summer.. the first was to put put golf at Wahoos! We forgot the camera in the car for this one :/ ... BUT, I got 3 holes in one! The last one being the end where it blows flames!



The next card led us to paddle boating... in a swan :)

HAHAHA... don't ask me.



I had such a fun day! The final card led me to the botanical gardens, the place where Nic and I were supposed to go eventually to look at for a reception site. He thought it would be fun to look at it on my birthday (little did I know) and he gave me my final gift in this beautiful English stoned gazebo...


AH! he got down on one knee and proposed :)


SO in love and SO happy!!

Now 20 years old and soon to be a Williamson! It may take my whole life for him to convince me that this isn't a dream but I am the luckiest girl in the world to spend my life by his side and be married to him forever!
